Witnessing the deaths of those around me has lead to inquiries about the skepticism of self and the questions beyond death, which in turn lead to the exploration of the inner and outer aspects of sculpture and the contemplation of space. Additionally, I focus on the coherence between the approach to materials and personal narratives, striving to find justification in my artistic process. The starting point of my sculptural practice references Lucio Fontana's "Spatialism," connecting and expanding the interior and exterior of a mass through incisions. In a way, these incisions in sculpture also serve as gills, allowing the sculpture to breathe and enabling the evolution into new forms
